A man who claimed 10 snakes and 12 tarantulas was murdered by his 2.4m (8ft) pet python called Tiny, an examination has heard.
Creature darling Dan Brandon kicked the bucket of suffocation at his home in Hampshire on 25 August a year ago, Basingstoke Coroners' Court was told.
Coroner Andrew Bradley recorded a decision of misfortune following the episode with the African shake python. Mr Brandon, a sharp snake handler, had claimed Tiny since she was sufficiently little to fit in his grasp.

Thought to be the principal instance of its kind in Britain, a coroner at the investigation in Basingstoke, Hampshire, was told the snake got away from its case and pounded its proprietor, 31-year-old Daniel Brandon, to death. Couple named Daniel and Danielle conceived on same day in same healing center wed 40 years after the fact Coroner Andrew Bradley recorded a decision of misfortune and stated:
'The in all probability situation is that Tiny was locked in with Dan – I have no uncertainty about that. 'She was looping around him, and soon thereafter I have no clue. There was a time when it is possible that she grabs hold of him out of the blue or outings him up or some other system.' Mr Bradley said the snake at that point covered up, presumably 'in light of the stun of him falling or due to his response'. A year ago the coroner's office ruled Mr Brandon kicked the bucket of suffocation at his home in Church Crookham, Hampshire, on August 25, 2017.
His snake was discovered covering up in an indistinguishable room from his body.
